Description
March 27, 2012. This photo is of a dry river bed at the Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our land with our log cabin on it in Wyoming also has a dry river bed so this is a special photo for me.
Walking the Dry River Bed
Ghosts live here.
Their faces watch
from the bark of cottonwood.
Their song is
leaf and wind.
My single heart
beats not alone.
I walk the path
of invisible deer.
The dust of my walking
rises smoke of earth
and centuries.

Lenore. You have captured the stillness of a moment in time that evokes so much feeling within the earths landscape that has changed through time without losing the memories of a life lived. Wonderful my friend!

Lenore, you're so popular, can never be the first to give you a comment. But I think that it is never too late, you're a wonderful artist. Ante

Beautiful color contrast of the soil, love the red tones on that and play of the shadows and light, Lenore!
