Description
Returning to Pueblo after visiting my family in Wyoming March 29, 2011, and after 50 years of just driving by Virginia Dale, Colorado, I finally stopped to take some photos, many of which I uploaded weeks ago. The peace and quiet here is palpable, the sense of history, the sense of the dead buried in the little cemetery, the strength and determination to rebuild the non-denominational church just as it was after a fire set by teens from Laramie destroyed everything but a few relics. No matter what one's religious beliefs, this experience felt like walking on sacred ground.
