Description
May 29, 2012...this scene is across the street from the portion of the HARP (Historical Arkansas Riverwalk Project) where I was shooting photos yesterday. I was struck by this image not only because I like architecture, but the colors reminded me of the images of Greece/Santorini I've seen on FAA, the white buildings, red roofs, and blue skies. But this building is in Pueblo, Colorado. Go figure!

Lenore, you have such an artistic eye! This is beautiful with its compositon, forms and colors. Once again your creativity allows the rest of us to really SEE what is there in front of us!

Lenore, It is VERY reminiscent of Santorini - love the focus on geometric shapes in the architecture. voted

Applying the New Criticism approach to this image, I find it truly satisfying without regard to its context. You've captured some really interesting shapes, accompanied by strong colors and your tight framing works really well. Wonderful work, Lenore! -- Joe.

I was going to ask the same question that Lianne did. (However, now you have answered it...) Smile. This is a great shot. The architecture and colors are stunning. Glad you saw this and took this picture to share with us. Blessings to you. Also thanks for kind words about my "Snowglobe Gone Wild" and other works. Any words from you are precious.

What is Arkansas doing in Pueblo??? LOL. Ah but the image, no matter where it is, is a masterpiece as is all your contemporary work. Love this Lenore. F/V

Yes, the Arkansas part is for the Arkansas River, should probably clarify that. Thank you for the wonderful comment! Always look forward to hearing from you!
