Description
A while back, I had a series called "ordinary things around the house." These five pieces could be called "ordinary things around Lora's house." This particular work is in honor of my mother, Aileen Senior, who died March 24, 2010 at the age of 88. She loved birds and these swallows and design are details from her memorial vase, which I have digitalized.

What a beautiful image, and the story behind it makes it all the more special. It reminds me of the woodcut prints made by a beloved art professor of mine, now passed away. The design and colors suggest the upward movement of the spirit, now heaven-bound. L/F

Lenore, this is such a wonderful tribune, a stunning reminder of the power of art to connect and reconnect with our cherished loved ones...those alive in this world and those alive in the next...
