Wow, what a poignant and powerful wake-up call to all humans on the planet! The wildlife is going to fade away and vanish if we don't act now. Even in the wilds of Wyoming, the least populated state in the nation, deer, elk and pronghorn populations are diminishing. Every action we take -- grubbing out that patch of sagebrush, building a fence, diverting a rivulet, paving a road -- impacts the survival of all other beings in our world. All the individual people I know love the wild animals and realize that we can't survive without an intact ecosystem. And yet, somehow, collectively, we keep pushing them further and further toward the brink.

Very strong message, Lenore!! After Hurricane Irene, my daily deer visitors vanished!! I was so worried about them!! I am happy to report, they are back...thru out the day today I have had about 10 of them visit!! A true treat every time!!

I worry that their lands are disappearing and they will have no place to go and live.
