Lenore. Fair point about the 'The American dream' however, We can go forward and rebuild the fence, removing the shadows giving EVERYONE a chance to fulfill their dreams, not just the chosen few!!

Dreamers have a chance at life, without dreams what good is life . Let us all dare to dream no matter how hard life may seem. A shadow, a glimmer of hope, is all the dreamer needs.
Lenore Senior replied:
I agree we all must have dreams. What I am talking about here is the misplaced sense of dream that Americans have developed having to do with materialism and commercialism. Our dreams have become skewed in my opinion and it's about that that I am reflecting in my series.

What a subtle yet powerful statement of times lost and yet to come. A thought-provoking, resonant and beautiful work!

I like this - the white picket fence was always part of the American Dream and now it is leading into a wilderness

Wonderful work, Lenore. I really like the way the fence allows entrance into the black framed scene.
