This photograph was taken 3-4 weeks after Jake was severely beaten, some remnants of which can still be seen. Update: please say prayers for Jake who was thrown down a flight of stairs recently and has a brain bleed and is in and out of consciousness. Doctors say he may not survive and, if he does, he will have brain injury. The man who did this was apparently drunk at the time and Jake had done nothing to anger the man who was just angry at the world (09/27/11). Jake never had much good luck in this life. He was hit and killed by a car in January, 2015. He was 60 years old.
