Description
Goslings' Cliff, digital painting by Lenore Senior. This artwork is based upon seeing a nature documentary showing the likelihood of infant animals survival in the wild. The goslings were first, with the mother flying off the cliff and waiting on a ledge down below for her infants to follow her, which they do, one by one, out of instinct. The little fluffy babies with their tiny wings are not able to fly, but simply to cushion their fall on the various ledges below with their fluffy bodies and wings slowing them down. What I saw was not slow, but a bullet ride for what seemed like miles of falling. This was one of the hardest, most torturous things I've ever watched! In the end, 3 of the 5 goslings survived the fall. These were the colors I saw in the cliff.

Wow. That's serious tough love. That must have been very hard to watch. This is beautiful though Lenore! I would never have guessed it was a place of such drama and sadness. Beautiful work! l/f!
