Description
1950's - Navajo Rodeo is a surrealistic photograph taken from 8 mm movie film shot by Willoughby Senior in the 1950's. He had a 30 year relationship with the Navajo and Hopi people. Most of the time Senior went from New Jersey to Arizona by himself, with occasionally Aileen Senior joining him. Later, the entire family would sometimes go, especially when he moved the family to Texas and then Wyoming to be closer to the reservations. What memories!! This work was processed by one of his daughters, Lenore Senior.

What a deeply resonant, mysterious and beautiful interpretation, evoking such moods and memories of old times and adventures. Fabulous work! fav
