Description
1950's - Fun on the Burro is adapted from 8 mm movie film shot by Willoughby Senior during his 30 year relationship with the Hopi and Navajo people. After the burro is chased down and controlled, a cloth is placed around him for something to hold on to. He is guided by a small stick to the right or left. Whenever the children knew Senior was around, they flocked around to hear stories and have fun! This work was processed by one of Senior's daughters, Lenore Senior.

Cool look and feel to this image. Pleasing colors, and sense of movement captured and preserved in processing. L

Wow, they started training donkeys early in Hopi country -- the poor thing looks hardly more than a foal! But the burros are tough and hardy and very strong for their size. How Dad enjoyed those kids and all their antics! We loved gathering clay and making pottery and sculpture together. Fabulous work, Lenore! fav
