Description
The full description will be found at the image entitled "My Father's Church". My father was a minister but always told people he graduated with a degree in "applied social ethics" because he didn't want people to relate differently to him because of the knowledge of what he did for a living. He was a philosopher, artist, and writer at heart. He always said, "Jesus wasn't some white guy with blue eyes."

Fantastic photo and treatment! Although this window was created by a local artisan after Dad passed away, I always felt that this artist might have been very much influenced by our father's ideas. For the figure Jesus, here seen from the outside of the church, is as a dark-skinned Middle-eastern man, not a white guy with blue eyes. I like the sepia tones you used -- it gives a nostalgic old-fashioned feeling to this concept, which was no doubt startling to some at the time. Marvelous work!
